Ben McAdoo Used A Badass Game Of Thrones Scene To Inspire The Giants For This Week's Cowboys Game

NYPost-
For the New York Football Giants, this is a Game of Dethrone on Sunday night at Jerry World, and the news Ezekiel Elliott will be playing has not exactly left them cowering in fear. And as they keep their fingers crossed Odell Beckham Jr. will be on the battlefield, the Giants hope this Armageddon slugfest will signal a changing of the guard in the NFC East … and beyond. Ben McAdoo on Wednesday, The Post learned, showed the Giants a clip from “Game of Thrones” that only whetted their already ravenous appetites for that fifth Super Bowl crown.

“It’s the … episode when the dragons came, they saved the people,” Landon Collins told The Post, “so basically we’re coming to be the game-changers in this conference and we’re gonna take over. That’s kinda what I took from it.” Big Blue dragons, breathing fire and fury. “Just the clip they showed us today was pretty cool I guess,” Eli Apple told The Post. “With the dragon, that’s something we want to take and be a little bit, kinda just impose our will like the dragon did. I don’t want to spoil anything for any fans out there, but yeah, the dragon went crazy with the fire breathing and all that.”

Welp the Dallas game is a wrap. Mark us as 1-0 in the standings and against the division. Giants fans, you are officially gucci for Week 1. Now all you have to worry about is your fantasy teams and any bets you may make. We are onto Detroit.

If some low T asshole like me is ready to run my fat ass through a wall after watching those dragons turns a bunch of zombies into ashes, I can’t imagine what the 53 superduper athletes in the Giants locker room were ready to do. I legitimately growled and screamed at the TV when those dragons were lighting those undead tits up. But Snacks may actually eat Zeke Elliott alive on Sunday night after he saw what those flying lizards were capable of. Benny Mac, cool substitute teacher turned head coach done did it again! The only gripe I have is that he didn’t record the reactions of the players watching that scene in the locker room. I like to imagine it was like 53 Gerald McCoys.

My sneaky favorite part of when Benny shows the Giants these videos for inspiration is that none of the players walk away with the same message. They all kinda just draw their own conclusions from whatever massacre Benny just showed on the projector screen. No message, no explanation. Just pure carnage and motherfuckers dying. I don’t know if Ben McAdoo is the offensive genius we were promised when he signed on as offensive coordinator. But I do know he is a mad genius when it comes to inspiring full-grown genetic monsters paid millions to play a sport.

P.S. I hate that headline as much as anyone, but I didn’t want to hear people bellyache about how they were only on Season 3 of watching Thrones and I spoiled a scene that was written about or tweeted a kabillion times. Spoiling an episode of Thrones that has already aired on TV should be like spoiling an NFL game that has already been played: Impossible.
